Sometimes the people we appreciate
the most, are those that we recognize the least! That’s why we wanted to
highlight one of our favorite members of the Administrative Fellowship Team,
Joan Cook! We could write for a while about how much we all love Joan, but we
thought we would highlight a few things about her!
- She has her undergraduate degree in Marketing. This means that she knows a lot about how to make us look and feel good, even if it may be “false advertising.”
- She was voted “class clown” as her senior superlative. I think we would all agree that she would be fellowship “class clown” if we awarded superlatives.
- Joan has 4 children whom she loves very dearly. However, we like to think she doesn’t love them as much as the six children in the office.
Lastly, here are a few things that, as fellows, we love about Joan:
- She helps us function properly at work. Not only
does she help us talk through project sponsor issues and help us problem solve,
but she humbles us every day when we are aimlessly looking for office supplies
that happen to be on our desks.
- She listens to our personal issues. She coaches us
through life’s toughest problems … from figuring out how to deal with
significant others to helping Walle and Elliott forgive each other.
- Joan brings a smile to our faces. Aside from all of her help personally and professionally, she brings us something that not everyone can, a smile right when we walk in the door every morning no matter what is going on in her life. No one can have a bad day at work with that!
From the Class of 2016, thank you Joan for being you!!
